Older routers had performance issues that just don’t apply to newer routers.

Also, I’d avoid the “nub” wifi USB adapters. If you decide to stick with Vista and this is the inferior factory install, you can greatly improve performance by working through these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware.
I guess one possibility would be to run Windows drivers under ndiswrapper. I also recommend making an image iso file instead of “burning” straight into the USB drive, that way you won’t lose lqtitude installation media when you decide to re-purpose the drive, but you’ll need to use Rufus or something similar to “burn” the iso into the USB drive later.

Turns out “N” can be 75Mbps – Mbps Time for a new router and WAP? Second, I did the crucial scan and this is what it inyel.
